The program is open to youth and young adults ages 18-24 in Lake County, IL This program provides job readiness training, skill building, and support to help in preparing for and finding a job.
Qualifying program participants will be connected to the opportunity for a full-time temp to hire position.
In a well established and recognized food bank.

1.
Pushing trash carts and recycling carts 2.
Operate sweeper scrubber 3.
Sandblast small automotive parts using enclosed sandblast box 4.
Valve body disassembly - load parts in valve body washer 5.
Labeling bins or racks 6.
Heat gun use if wearing hot mill gloves 7.
Minimum chemical use allowed like creating manual instapak pouches, using solvents as label remover, using box sealing glue 8.
Loading bailers but NOT operating or unloading bailers 9.
Use of automatic bander 1 0.
Utility knife use with refractory blades (Slice units) or guarded, blue safety utility knives 11.
5 S line installation and preparations 12.
May use mobile stairs to pick small parts Organizational Relationships:
Reports to Shop Supervisor.
Skill Requirements:
Read, Write, Speak English.
Basic math skills (counting, multiplication, adding).
Basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements:
Lift, Climb, Sit, Stand, Walk, Vision o May lift up to 30 lbs.
