JOB PURPOSE:
In this position the Sourcing Manager will provide support to our internal stakeholders, customers and outside sales force.
This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring uninterrupted and timely support of product to our warehouse and customers.

Responsibilities:
Supplier Management Routinely meet with current suppliers to develop and maintain business relationships, ensure supply chain continuity, and foster continuous improvement Effectively manage supplier performance by reviewing KPIs and implementing appropriate corrective actions as needed Actively develop supplier strategies in conjunction with global sourcing managers, and communicate to the manufacturing sites.
Execute strategic plans developed by global sourcing managers, specifically volume allocations for commodity materials Manage supplier pricing, rebates and contracts Facilitate the escalation process when OTIF delivery is at risk in order to meet production needs Project Management & Sourcing Work with marketing, R&D and the project team to understand upcoming projects and identify potential sources of supply Effectively gather project requirements from marketing and obtain pricing from qualified sources of supply Lead the sourcing efforts on significant stock and custom projects within the business unit Coordinate with R&D to drive projects forward, and help manage material sourcing complexities.
Cost Reduction / Margin Enhancement Lead cost reduction initiatives.
Analyze spend and identify margin enhancement opportunities.
Coordinate with R&D for lab approvals, and drive project to completion Evaluate supplier quotations and develop negotiation strategies focused on improving our competitive position in the market place Act as a mentor to others and assist with negotiations as necessary Negotiate pricing, terms and other contractual issues with suppliers Collaborate with global sourcing team during negotiations as needed Supplier Development & Revenue Growth Routinely meet with current suppliers to bring new and improved product solutions forward Focus on developing new suppliers as improved performance and/ or alternative solutions are required Partner with sales/marketing to understand additional product needs and establish the necessary relationships and programs to leverage these needs Focus on creating supplier relationships that offer win-win results REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in a business-related discipline or chemistry 5-10 years of Procurement/ or Supply Chain experience Strong business acumen Strong team player Excellent communication and strong negotiation skills Ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment Experience with project management, expediting and optimizing inventory levels This position requires an individual who is self-directed and detail-oriented with an inquisitive nature and the desire to solve problems A strong work ethic with a positive can-do attitude and one who takes pride in the quality of their work Proven history in providing influential leadership across functions of the organization such as Marketing, Operations, Procurement and Quality to effectively communicate benefits, challenges and cost initiatives on materials and projects.
Strong financial/math acumen and prior experience with the collection, interpretation and analysis of NPD data in support of company strategic initiatives SAP & Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) knowledge preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
