We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tailor to join our team.
As a Tailor, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and performing alterations and repairs on garments.
This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in garment construction and sewing skills in a fast-paced fashion retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform alterations and repairs on garments according to customer specifications - Take accurate measurements to ensure proper fit - Sew, hem, and mend garments using both hand stitching and sewing machines - Assist customers with fitting and provide recommendations on alterations - Maintain a clean and organized work area - Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction -Labeling customers' garments and articles and recording the alterations required.
- Use of Industrial Machines such as Brother/Juki for blind stitch, and straight stitch machines -Ensuring that sewing machines and other equipment are in good working order.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Tailor or similar role in a fashion retail setting - Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques - Proficient in using sewing machines and other tailoring tools - Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements - Basic math skills for calculating fabric requirements and pricing - Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively We offer competitive pay based on experience and provide opportunities for career growth within our organization.
