Logistics/Transportation Analyst

Job duties:
Generate transportation cost and service performance metrics for internal division, operations team and carrier review meetings.
Work with branches and Transportation Operations to help maintain service levels while achieving route guide compliance targets.
Perform ad-hoc transportation cost analyses, evaluate expense trends across general ledger accounts and help develop transportation solutions that optimize costs.
Communicate with vendors and third-party logistics providers to answer questions and continuously improve Medline's inbound routing program.
Monitor carrier performance and generate scorecards to drive continuous improvement across cost and service. Assist in the audit and payment of freight bills.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (concentration in Logistics, Transportation, Finance or Business preferred)
2-3 years of experience in a Transportation, Supply Chain, Distribution or Business Analyst role
Thorough knowledge of the transportation industry
Strong analytical and financial aptitude
Background in TMS systems
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
SAP experience a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
